I edited these images from Photoshop Element 9.

My first attempt was the one on the left which I deleted the background of the image. I only kept the model and the building as he is lying next to it. I didnt delete this because it will look weird if I did. I simply made the background white so that I simple to add with text.

Again, I attempted to make the background by using two colours: black and white. I used a gradient tool for this. I made the bottom bit dark to light to suggest dark for the ground and light for the sky.

The last attempt that I did is the best in my opinion because I like the detailed scratches on the background. Also, it's gray so again, it links to the front cover page of the magazine.
