4. Contents Page Analysis

This is a Contents page of an NME magazine.

The house style of this magazine is still kept the same which is the same as the one on the front cover, (black, white and red).
I find this page cluttered and full of text, which I think that its not appropriate for a contents page. This could be done on purpose so that it is attractable for the target market of rock music and also so that it is not out of place of the main theme.
The text of this magazine are clear, and bold to suggests the boldness and angriness of this magazine which reflects on the music genre.
The features are numbered which correspond to the number of the picture this is effective as it gives the reader a taste of what is to to come without giving to much away forcing the reader to read on.
NME keeps their layout the same throughout their magazine so that it's easily recognisable for the reader.
